Episode 70, 71, 72: Tahitian Pills, Cyclones, & Big Miracles

aloha kakou !

WEEK 70

waited too long and forgot what happened. will consult the journal later.

WEEK 71

Monday was super fun. it was off to an interesting start however, as I had gotten basically no sleep the night before. I took a pill that the local pharmacy gave me to help with some pain and it basically destroyed me. I was in so much pain the entire night that I kinda just drifted in and out of sleep. soooo lesson learned, maybe don't take random foreign pills?

the big event for Monday was the multizone conference with Elder and sister Wakolo. it was super great! they shared a lot on the importance of the doctrine of Christ, and the importance of our call as missionaries. that night was even better though, because one of the families in our ward invited us over to eat dinner, and they also said they had a reference for us. this references name is Christopher, and he's friends with all the young adults, which is how this family found him. basically he wants to get baptised ! so we started doing the lessons with him and so far they've gone really well! everyone please pray for Christopher !!

Tuesday was also great. it was our pday and we got to go hang out at a couple missionaries' house to eat pizza and play some games with our district. pretty chill day.

Wednesday and Thursday were good! however, this is when a cyclone hit Tahiti, so it was very rainy and windy and a lot of people didn't want to do lessons. but we did have a few! we had some with Christopher, did some inactive member lessons, etc. we also did the interview for Herehia so she can get baptised on Friday! so exciting!

Friday ! today was the day for our big mission conference, which was super fun. we did some role-playing and listened to some great stuff from Elder Wakolo. later that day we had Herehia's baptism! it was so great, her whole family was there and they were all so supportive. she said in her testimony that she hopes her dad will follow suit and get baptised hahah. we hope so too!

Saturday and Sunday were good, but because it was raining so hard there wasn't a whole lot to do, at least outdoors. so we made some cookies, as sister missionaries do. we ended up taking them out to people on Sunday while it was dumping outside. everyone was like "soeur-mā why the heck are you out here" lol.

WEEK 72

this week was soooooo good!!! actually one of the best weeks in my whole mission. ill get into it.

Tuesday started off so strong with service at our bishops' house. we pull up and I look at this big leaf pile and I know immediately that it was gonna be centipede central, and I was right. after a few minutes of shoveling, public enemy number one, AKA a centipede, slithered out of the dirt. those little idiots are so fast so you gotta chop quick. at the end of service we chopped like 6 centipedes. Wednesday we did more of the same, but instead I got to take a machete to a banana tree so that was pretty fun.

Wednesday was awesome too! the biggest event of the event was that we set a baptismal date on our first lesson with this 13 year old girl named Kauana. she's super awesome. she was at the baptism we had last week and it inspired her to take this step. please pray for her!!

Thursday we had ANOTHER miracle, where we set ANOTHER baptismal date ! this time it was for Christopher, our golden friend. he is seriously so elect its insane. he even wants to go on a mission! we have so many member fellowshippers for him which is so awesome, and they're all young adults who are also preparing to serve so they're great examples to him. we also told him that Christ came to the America's and he was like "whhhhaatttt?!?!?!?!? that is SOOO COOOOL" hahahah we love him. we also had a fire lesson with our new friend Annette, who is so super sweet. she loves talking about Jesus and she told us all about her faith experiences ! so awesome. we also played volleyball w some members on this day and totally embarrassed ourselves but it's whatever.

Friday was great, district council is always a party. then we had a lesson scheduled w our friend Moehau, but he called us and was like "it's too hot!!" but we were like nahh it's chill no worries, we're strong! wrong. we are so very weak. it was so hot. but we made it there somehow without fainting, and had a great lesson! then we had ANOTHER miracle by seeing Olivier, his brother who we haven't seen in ages! yay!!

Saturday we had another lesson w Moehau, and another one with Olivier, and another one w Kauana! so many miracles!

Sunday we had to reel it in a bit. I've been having some bad back pain for over 6 weeks now and it flared way up on this day. so we decided to be pretty chill. but even still we got to go cookie contacting which was fun!

anyways that's it sorry i gotta send this right now, happy late valentines day! I love u all so big ! <3
