Episode 36, 37: Banishment... Kinda

Iaorana tout le monde !  J'espère que vous allez bien !

First, tansfer news: I am leaving Pirae 1 (which is getting bluewashed/elders instead of sisters) and getting transfered to Moorea! It's a little island right off of Tahiti, like a 30 minute ferry ride. So I'm getting "banished" to the islands... but like, barely.

Anyways, here's some little vignettes of my last two weeks !

WEEK 36

Zone conference was this week, and it was super good. We learned a bunch about finding and it inspired us to grind. A few days later when we went out we started shoving pamphlets in people's giant gates. If you guys aren't gonna answer, you're at least gonna catch this pamphlet!

I also did a split with one of our STLs, Sœur Laplante, this week in Mahina. It was soooo fun! We started the day with a manhunt for this one reference that the STLs had gotten, and this guy said "*if* the missionaries can find me, I'll take the lessons. I live in a 6 km radius in any direction of the pharmacy" hahahah. So we start this Where's-Waldo-style hunt, and we realize that we both have no idea how long 6 km is, but we're like "probably not that far right??", so we start up this giant mountain called Super Mahina. After 20 minutes of straight upward hiking in the 10 AM sun, and we stop and check Google Maps to see how far we'd gone, absolutely sure it'd been like 10 km, but it had in fact been 1 km. So we decided to just wander a bit further up the mountain, but to no avail. We did contact quite a bit on the way up tho, so pretty good stuff. Later that day we drove up to the very top of Super Mahina where everything is dead silent and the ocean looks like the sky and I forgot where I was.

WEEK 37

This week was really good ! We started it out with an awesome Pday at Point Venus, Tahiti's lighthouse point. We wandered around the reef and we ended up seeing EAGLE RAYS !! Holyyyy moly I was so excited. I love rays and I've never seen wild ones so I was blown away -- they were so big! So so cool. How is this my mission ??

We had some really really good lessons with the inactive member family we've been teaching! We taught about the gospel of Jesus Christ, the temple, and the ten commandments. They've been expressing desire to come to more and more activities, come to church, read their scriptures, etc. -- their progress is so inspiring! They've been coming to church these past two weeks and making big changes and just overall being amazing. Please pray for them to keep progressing!

I also saw a member from my last ward/area! I think I wrote about him in my first email from Tahiti -- his name is Sava and he's the GOAT. Basically one of the 3 Nephites. Anyways I saw him on the temple grounds this week and got to talk to him for a bit -- he's just so awesome.

Voilà, un petit écriture pour vous, Enos 1:12...

"And it came to pass that after I had prayed and labored with all diligence, the Lord said unto me: I will grant unto thee according to thy desires, because of thy faith."

Je sais que Dieu vas nous donner tous ce qu'on lui demande, si on le fait selon notre foi. :^))

That's all for this time ! I love you all so big, thank you so much for all the messages <3
