Episode 34, 35: Foot Horse

Iaorana tatou ! Ça va? J'espère que tout va bien et que vous allez bien aussi :^) Sur notre côté c'est bonne; haere maru haere papu, mais toujours bonne.

Anyways. These past two weeks have been good! They've honestly flown by. They've flown by so fast that I honestly don't really remember what happened in the first of the two weeks hahah (I would go look at my journal, but it's like.. all the way over there). So it's more of a recap of this last week.

One of my favourite moments of this week was Saturday. For weeks, our ward has planned this massive, super intricate Escape Game activity, and on Saturday it finally happened. It was *soooo* good!! They really went all out with everything, from decorations to games to food, and it went super super great. One of the best bits was this western themed room, and there was some pretty funny decor in there (pictures below). But in this room, the activity was to draw a horse. But with you feet. Toes? I don't know. You grip the marker with your toes and draw a horse. Anyways, not to brag or anything, but my foot horse won the foot horse drawing contest. I didn't know it was a contest until they game me my award (two foam blocks spray painted gold), but oh well. So, in case you guys can't tell in one of the pictures below, thats supposed to be a horse. Also, a family of members from my old zone (who know like every missionary ever), the Colombels, were there too ! It was super fun to see them.

Another one of my favourite moments this week was a miracle. So, the work in this area is *super duper* slow. Like, we're lucky if we get two lessons a week. Anyways, we've been floundering for a while, but one day a member comes up to us with a reference. He tells us this inactive family wants to meet with us and we're like "yessirski we'll get right on it". Little did we know this family is AMAZING ! It's a mom and dad, who are inactive members, and their two sons, a ten year old and ten month old, who aren't members. We've only been teaching the parents so far, and they are so amazing. They told us how they've not been to church since 2014, and how they're at a point in their lives now where they're ready to make changes. Those are the greatest words ever. They're so humble and eager to learn -- they wanted to go through all the lessons and start at "level zero", and go up from there. Ahhhh they're just so awesome. They've been such a great example of repentance, humilty, and a desire to change. I love them!!

I've been thinking a lot about humility this week. It's one of my favourite Christlike attributes, and because Christ was so humble, He was able to listen, teach, and follow the will of God with perfection. As missionaries and members of the Church, this is all we want to do. When we can find ways to deepen our relationship with God through humbling ourselves, recognizing and improving our flaws with the help of Jesus Christ, and keeping a sincere desire to repent and change daily, we'll be able to more perfectly align ourselves with God and His will.

Thats about all for this time. Thank you all so much for your kind words and support ! I love u <3
