Episodes 23-25: À La Prochaine, Mataiea

TRANSFERS:

So before I go into anything here's the news: I'm getting transferred to Pirae, in the Mahina zone! I'm super super excited !! But super sad to leave Mataiea. I've come to love these ward members and friends like family, and it's very hard to leave them after staying with them for these past 4 months. Half of them are also in America right now so I don't really get to say goodbye to them hahah. Mais profitez bien, vous tous!! Vous vas me manquer beaucoup :')) Merci pour tout ce que vous avez fait pour moi, pour nos amis, et pour Jésus-Christ. À la prochaine, Mataiea! <3

EPISODE 23:

Yooo this week!! This weeeeeek. Was super long hahah. But super good too!!

One of the many weekly highlights was the fact that we got chevre miel pizza, AKA cheese pizza with goat cheese (chevre) and honey (miel). Not gonna lie, probably one of the best things ever

Okay not gonna lie I forgot most of what happened this week so we're just gonna skip on hahah

EPISODE 24:

This week we've been jammiinnngggg to the Spirit (as in the movie about the horse) soundtrack and listen... it's gas. Don't worry president, it invites the Spirit (as in the Holy Ghost). Don't believe me? Listen to Sound the Bugle right now. Carrément puissant là

Also I hit six months this week, what in the heck?? Time fliessss.

One of our ward members got her mission call this week to Perth Australia!! Sooo exciting! She'll be speaking English (she's already a pro) and be leaving in July. Gosh dang it mission call openings are so fun

I'm pretty sure I've already talked about them before, but there's this one family in our ward, the Riffieux. Basically they're inactive, but they've recently been coming back, ans after trying to get them to church for 3 transfers they finally came!! And they've been coming to like, EVERY activity! And now every time we go see them for a lesson, there's just this new light and love about them. I can see it in their eyes and hear it in the way they speak and laugh. It's  so amazing to see the influence of Christ come back into people's lives and bring love, light, and joy with it.

EPISODE 25:

This week has been sooooo awesome! There have been so many miracles, it's insane. Here are a few of my favourite moments.

We've been grinding to get one of our little friends, Kumuhei, ready for her baptism. Me and my last come found her and her whole family last transfer and have been teaching them ever since. It's been very off and on with them until just a few weeks ago when the mom said she wanted her daughter (Kumuhei) to be baptised. So we've been doing a bunnncchh of lessons with them lately! And it's been SO GOOD!! The whole family comes and sits in on every one of them. It's seriously so so awesome. I'd be super surprised if they weren't all members someday. So yeah! Pray for Kumuhei to finish all her lessons and get baptised the 12th!

We've also had great lessons with another one of our friends, Astrid. Oh man she's so awesome. She asks us questions, which is a great miracle, because usually people just nod their heads during lessons and don't ask us anything lol. She's progressing super awesome and she's just the sweetest haha. Every time we come over she's always got a plate of snacks for us. But yeah, if any of you've got the time please pray for our friend Astrid to receive a witness of God's personal love for her! It would be super appreciated !

This week I also got some insane news. For those of you who don't know, the mission Facebook elders interviewed me and posted a video of my conversion story on Facebook. It was a pretty cool experience even if they did me so dirty in the picture. But anyways yeah haha it was super cool, and I didn't think too much of it, but earlier this week I got a call from one of the elders saying that someone had seen my video and basically wanted to get baptized because of it! What in the heck! They're starting the lessons with the missionaries now and I'm gonna hop in on a lesson or two and share more of my story, and I'm super excited. Finally, the convert card is useful.

I just want to briefly bear my testimony about the importance of ministering. Throughout my 3 transfers here in Mataiea, I think one of the most important themes I've recognized is how important it is to support one other in sadness, joy, and in all things and places. The times I've seen this ward support our friends and their fellow members, it's always been done with the most Christlike kindness and genuine desire to help. When they've ministered to me, it's been the very same. I'm so grateful to have been on the receiving end of the kindness and Christlike service that these ward members offer. I know that when we take just a moment to serve those around us -- be they in our ward, be they in or out of the church, be they active or inactive, in the flock or a wandering sheep -- we are only and always in the service of our Heavenly Father. When we are quick to reach out with love, we have the opportunity to both see and perform miracles.

Sorry this is a long one! My bad my bad. But it's been 3 weeks so what do you expect I guess lol. I hope you all have a wonderful week! I luv youuu
