yooorana h'tchuru maitai roa ??  WEEK 44: We got shrimp curry for a meal this week and as I'm eating the shrimp I'm thinking "hmm. This is bad shrimp. Kinda tough... still gonna eat it though." So I eat another shrimp. Only then do I get the feeling that maybe I'm doing something wrong and I jokingly ask my comp if you're supposed to "peel the shrimp" or something. She says "yeah" and I look at my shrimps, realizing I've been eating the shells and legs. So.. I learned how to eat a shrimp this week.  The best part of this week was a visit we had with Mireille (the girl involved in the accident) and her mom. These people are so incredibly kind -- they showed up with a box of bananas, juice, and crackers for us. Don't worry, we made them some cookies, so we didn't look completely lame. The visit was so lovely though, we even played some guitar together! It was really so nice to see them and talk with them, they're so christ...

WEEK 42: So this was a really interesting week. Short story, I was in a big car accident. Long story, keep reading.  One of our members had their birthday on Tuesday, and we decided we wanted to get a cake for them. There's a shop a couple minutes drive from our house, so right before lunch we drive down there. I had missed the entrance to the parking lot, so I pulled over to make a u-turn, since there really isn't anywhere else to turn around on Moorea, and you just kinda have to pull over and flip it around. Once I'm stopped on the side I look behind me, look ahead, and I waited a moment, like half a second, before going. I don't know why I did that, but I waited, and once I went there was a car that came by. The car tried to swerve out of my way but I clipped the front; their car swiveled out of control and off the side of the road, where it flipped twice before landing top-down.  Even though everyone came out of this situation unharmed (spoilers), the image of seein...
